Global Pitch and Networking Event!! マルタ共和国から代表団が来館!!

みなさま、マルタ共和国をご存知でしょうか。
綺麗な海と街並みをイメージされる方もいるかもしれません。

マルタは、半導体、製薬、機械工学、航空整備、造船、繊維等の製造業と世界遺産の街を有するなど観光業が盛んな島国です。のどかで落ち着いている島のように見えるかもしれませんが、実は人口密度が世界でも高い国の一つでもあります。人口過剰なことから多くの物資の輸入に依存しており、海外からの投資誘致、オフショア・ビジネスなどが活発に取り組まれています。

この度、マルタ共和国代表団が来年開催されるEXPO 2025を踏まえて日本のビジネスとのつながりを求めて来日されます。

その期間中に、駐日マルタ大使が代表団を率いてQUINTBRIDGEにも来館されることになりました。代表団は、教育、食品、文化遺産、テクノロジー分野などで構成されており、13団体によるピッチが行われます。ピッチ後には登壇者、参加者とのネットワーキングが開催されます。

日本と同じ輸入に多く頼っている島国がどのようにグローバル展開されているのか、是非ともみなさまの目で確かめて体験してください。

Have you ever heard of Malta?
Some of you may have an image of beautiful sea and cityscapes.

Malta is an island country with a thriving manufacturing industry (semiconductor, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, aviation maintenance, shipbuilding, and textiles) and a thriving tourism industry, including a World Heritage city. Although it may seem like a peaceful and tranquil island, it is actually one of the most densely populated countries in the world. Malta's overpopulation makes it dependent on imports of many commodities, and it is actively engaged in attracting foreign investment and offshore business.

Maltese delegation will be visiting Japan to seek connections with Japanese businesses in light of EXPO 2025 to be held next year.

During their visit, the Maltese Ambassador to Japan will lead the delegation to visit QUINTBRIDGE as well. The delegation consists of 13 organizations from the education, food, cultural heritage, and technology sectors, among others, who will make pitches. Networking with the speakers and participants will be held after the pitches.

Please come and see and experience for yourselves how an island nation like Japan, which relies heavily on imports, is developing its business globally.
